School Uniforms

In the UK, most primary schools have got a school uniform. Children wear a shirt or polo shirt, and a jumper or cardigan, Girls can wear a skirt or trousers, or a dress when it’s hot. Boys wear trousers, but they can wear shorts when it’s hot. Uniforms can be many different colours, light or dark blue, green, red grey or brown.

Children wear uniforms in Ecuador too. In many schools the uniform is a tracksuit in the school colours and a polo shirt. The tracksuit has the school logo.

Children in Japan also wear uniforms. These are quite traditional – shirts and shorts for boys and shirts and skirts for girls. Boys wear caps and girls wear hats in bright colours.

In Italy, younger boys and girls wear tunics. The boys wear blue or black tunics and the girls wear pink, white or light blue tunics.
